In the past blogs, we wrote about the « forty-five », and also talked about the history of competition climbing. Perhaps it would be appropriate to present our workshops, offered to you to better understand how to use the « 45 » and the experience required to take part in a competition.
The Shop offers two different free workshops on a weekly basis. The first course, every Tuesday at 17:00, is intended for beginners. If you want to familiarize yourself with the actual gym and climbing in general, this workshop is for you. We will explain everything: the name of the holds, the different type of grips, the optimal warm-up, how to use your feet, optimize your falls, among others. After the hour spent with our coach, you should understand how to place your hips to better hold on bad slopers. Bring your sport clothes, and you’re all set!
The second workshop offered is for intermediate climbers. If you climb about V3 or V4, we’ll take care of you. Much of the course is dedicated to understanding the possible movements in bouldering, as well as strategic approaches to send your project. You always wondered how to optimize your momentum to stick a double clutch dyno with a toehook jammed in an undercling? We’ll try to explain it. In other words, the one-hour session will aim to expand your vision in different situations. It should be noted that this intermediate workshop is more flexible than the first, in the sense that the coach will adapt the level to the participants.
We provide you the tools to improve different aspects of your climb, you only have to be there! No excuses! Registration opens the same day at 16:00. First come, first served. Maximum of 6 climbers per workshop.
